Royals rookie right-hander Yordano Ventura is battling tightness in the middle of his back and won't be able to make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Twins (source: Josh Vernier via Twitter). Instead, Liam Hendriks will make his Royals debut.

This season, the 23-year-old Ventura has pitched to a 3.40 ERA (119 ERA+) and 2.36 K/BB ratio in 25 games, 24 of which have been starts. In June, Ventura also missed some time with elbow inflammation.
