VIDEOS: At age 50, Barry Bonds is still hitting the batting cages
It has been seven years since all-time home run king Barry Bonds last played in MLB. He's already been on the Hall of Fame ballot three times but isn't particularly close to getting in. He turned 50 in July and also had hip surgery in October.
And yet, despite all of that, Bonds is still working out and swinging a bat. On Friday he uploaded some batting cage videos to Instagram. Nothing intense, he's just hitting off a tee so soon after hip surgery, but Bonds is still swinging away nonetheless. To the videos, starting with slow motion:

The swing isn't quite as sweet as it was during his playing career, but it looks like Bonds still has some bat speed left.
Given his historically great batting eye -- Bonds would still rank fourth all-time with 1,870 walks even if you remove all of his intentional walks -- what are the odds he could put up a .300+ OBP in 2015 if he returned to MLB? Not great, I'd say, but probably better than you think.
