Well, R.J. White beat me to the punch with the first blog post about Fantasy Baseball team names that honor one of the roster's members (and he did so with authority). But a couple of weeks ago, I solicited names inspired by songs by R.E.M., my favorite band, to add to my own growing list. Rather than just have this list rot somewhere in the deep recesses of my hard drive, I'll reveal it here. (R.E.M. album pun not intended, well okay, maybe it was.)

Most of these were on my original list, but some were sent by podcast listeners via Twitter and email, and some overlapped both. My apologies to those whose team names are included but not credited here, as I've lost track of the tweets and emails in which they were submitted. If you recognize yours, please let me know, and I'll provide a well-earned shoutout.
