No doubt, he has his faults -- a high strikeout rate chief among them -- but even if they condemn him to a batting average in the .250-.260 range, what's stopping him from becoming another Jay Bruce? If he reaches 30 home runs, I have a feeling his supporting numbers will be similar. He's one-third of the way there already.
A power breakthrough at age 27 -- or 26, as I argue in the video -- isn't terribly uncommon, especially for a player with Rasmus' pedigree. He's shown enough already for me to take the plunge.
