UCLA-bound softball pitcher Rachel Garcia of Highland High School in Palmdale, Calif. didn't allow a baserunner and struck out 23, including her first 18 batters. But after tiebreaker rules were implemented, a throwing error on Highland's catcher allowed the winning run to score for the other team in the eighth inning.
