Colorado at San Francisco

Venue: AT&T Park

The Colorado Rockies started to overcome a disastrous two weeks by salvaging a split in their final series of a 10-game homestand.

The first-place San Francisco Giants will be waiting for them Friday night with hopes of continuing their home dominance over the Rockies and sending their NL West foes back into a tailspin.

San Francisco (43-24) has defeated Colorado (31-35) in 15 of the last 18 meetings at AT&T Park and will be out to complete a 10-game homestand on a positive note. It started toward that with Thursday's 7-1 victory over Washington to salvage one of four in the series.

The Giants had scored five runs in the first three games but got three-hit efforts from Michael Morse and Hunter Pence. Morse is batting .349 in his last 17 games, Pence is hitting .333 over 13 and Brandon Crawford is batting .444 on an eight-game streak.

The Rockies had lost 11 of 12 prior to winning their last two against visiting Atlanta, including 10-3 on Thursday. Their offensive production in the last three games is reminiscent of the start of the season as they've scored 28 runs.

Charlie Blackmon went 3 for 4 with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs to break out of a 5-for-35 stretch from the first 10 games of the month. Justin Morneau went 2 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs to give him six in three games after managing two in his previous 17.

Troy Tulowitzki was out of the lineup Thursday for a scheduled day off.

"We've been on the same page," manager Walt Weiss told the team's official website. "He wants to be out there every day, especially now that he's healthy. It's my responsibility to take care of him."

Tulowitzki is batting .234 on the road and is 2 for 19 in his last seven in San Francisco. He's squared off with Tim Lincecum 55 times with the right-hander limiting him to a .255 average.

Lincecum (5-4, 4.97 ERA) takes the mound seeking victories in consecutive starts for the first time this season. He yielded three runs in six innings of Sunday's 6-4 win over the New York Mets, though a series of troubling numbers remain. Lincecum's 1.54 WHIP and .276 opponent batting average are higher than any season totals in the previous seven years of his career.

Still, the team has had plenty of success with him on the mound, winning nine times in 13 starts. He's yet to face the Rockies this season and is 5-5 with a 3.44 ERA in 13 starts at AT&T Park against them.

Lincecum will be opposed by Jorge De La Rosa, who is trying to avoid losing three straight starts for the first time since Sept. 21-Oct. 1, 2010. De La Rosa (6-5, 4.04) surrendered five runs and four hits while issuing a season-high four walks and striking out a season-best eight in 5 1-3 innings of Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He's also struggled in San Francisco, going 0-4 with an 8.59 ERA in his last five starts.

The teams have split eight games this season with a suspended contest waiting to be resolved.
