DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers manager Alan Trammell has been extremely patient throughout his team's trying season, always finding the positive in a loss.
Not on Saturday.

Scott Spiezio added a three-run double and Jeff DaVanon walked with the bases loaded in the 10th for the Angels, who handed the Tigers their 11th straight loss -- their third losing streak of nine or more games this season. The Tigers last lost 11 straight to start the 2002 season.
"I'm not very happy today. Nobody should be happy on a day like this," Trammell said. "The losing streak doesn't matter. We had a chance to win this game today and we didn't do it."
Trailing 5-0 after six innings, Anaheim scored four in the seventh, three in the eighth to take a 7-6 lead, and tied it 8-all in the ninth on DaVanon's run-scoring single.
Craig Monroe had two home runs and a career-high six RBI for the Tigers, including a fielder's choice, which tied the game 7-7 in the eighth.
"Today, my day was overshadowed," Monroe said. "I'm more concerned about W's and I'm even a little bitter about going out and thinking I had a good day ... My big day didn't even happen."
Brendan Donnelly (2-2) gave up two runs in two innings for the win.
"I'm a little bit off. My timing's off on the front side a little bit as far as how fast I'm throwing in the zone," Donnelly said.
Chris Spurling (1-2) allowed the tying run in the ninth and three in the 10th.
The Angels sent 10 batters to the plate in the 10th. Bengie Molina led off with a single and advanced to second on Adam Kennedy's groundout. Chone Figgins walked and Eric Owens singled for his fifth hit of the game to load the bases.
Wilfredo Ledezma relieved and Anderson singled. Ledezma then hit Tim Salmon with a pitch to reload the bases. After an out, DaVanon walked, then Spiezio doubled, clearing the bases.
The 14 runs were a season high for the Angels, who beat Detroit for the 14th time in a row.
"We were able to get some matchups at the plate and some great at-bats late in the game," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.
Kennedy had a pinch-hit, two-run double and Figgins hit an RBI single to make it 7-6 in the top of the eighth.
Pinch-hitter Warren Morris' single with two outs in the bottom half put the Tigers back ahead 8-7.
Monroe hit both his homers off Anaheim starter Jarrod Washburn. His three-run homer gave Detroit a 3-0 lead in the first inning. He hit a 2-0 pitch 408 feet to left-center. Ben Petrick, who led off with a walk and Dmitri Young reached on a fielder's choice ahead of Monroe.
His 16th came in the fourth inning with Young on first.
Anaheim scored four in the seventh -- three off Detroit starter Nate Robertson.
Pinch-hitter Trent Durrington walked with the bases loaded, Figgins singled in a run and Owens hit a two-run single.
Carlos Pena homered leading off the seventh for Detroit to greet reliever Gary Glover.
"It's amazing. It's a mystery. We cannot even figure out why things go the way they go," Pena said of losing. "Some of these things, you cannot even understand. It's inconceivable to go through what we're going through."
