The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, with Colorado's Jason Jennings (1-2) facing A.J. Burnett (2-1) in the first game and Jose Acevedo (0-0) starting against Florida's Travis Smith (0-0) in the nightcap.
The start of Wednesday's game was delayed 1 hour, 33 minutes because of rain and the conditions weren't a whole better when it did get going. The game-time temperature was 35 degrees -- the second-coldest start in Coors Field's 10-year history -- with light drizzle and a stiff wind that dropped the wind chill to 27 degrees.
It only got worse.
Light snow started falling in the second inning and increased in the bottom half, leading to a second delay. The game was postponed 38 minutes later.
