CBS SportsLine.com wire reports

PHOENIX -- Down four runs after three innings, the Colorado Rockies were on track for another miserable night on the road. Dustan Mohr reversed that with one swing of the bat.

Mohr hit a two-run homer to highlight a five-run fourth inning, Ryan Shealy drove in four runs and the Rockies rallied to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 14-7 Saturday night.

Every Rockies starter except pitcher Jeff Francis had at least one of the team's 16 hits, and five players posted multihit games.

"We know everybody's taking us lightly," said Garrett Atkins, who was 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. "When the starting pitchers go through our lineup they don't know half of the guys in it."

Colorado won for the second time in 19 road games against a left-handed starter and has won four of five games against NL West opponents after beginning the season 0-12 on the road against the division.

"We're knocking down a lot of these ugly milestones one at a time," Rockies manager Clint Hurdle said. "We have a bunch of them out there. You don't lose 68 games by accident."

Conor Jackson hit his first two career home runs for the Diamondbacks, who have lost four of five to fall three games behind San Diego in the NL West.

Francis (11-7) struggled but earned the win for the Rockies, who have won four of five on their current six-game road trip.

Francis allowed six runs and eight hits with two walks and a strikeout in five innings.

"I really couldn't figure it out," said Francis, the NL leader in rookie wins. "I kept trying to slow myself down but as much as I did the ball kept finding the middle of the plate."

The Diamondbacks went up 5-1 after three innings on homers by Troy Glaus, Jackson and Luis Terrero.

But Mohr's homer, his 11th, off Michael Gosling (0-3) cut the lead to 5-3, and then the Rockies broke open the game with the help of Arizona's shaky defense.

Aaron Miles singled, Danny Ardoin walked and Francis laid down a sacrifice. Gosling fielded the bunt just in front of third baseman Glaus -- who had the easier play -- and threw the ball wildly down the right-field line, allowing Miles to score.

"It's probably my ball if I go after it hard right when it's bunted," Gosling said. "I hesitated, which caused Troy to not know whether he should come get it or go back to the bag. So, we both kinda ended up there. He said he had it right as I grabbed for it. I picked it up and never really had a chance to get my balance and make a good throw. I just kinda flung it and obviously that made things worse."

Luis A. Gonzalez followed with a grounder to second off reliever Mike Koplove, which Alex Cintron fielded cleanly. Cintron took a few steps toward second base before realizing he wouldn't be able to get the forceout there and his throw to first was too late. Ardoin scored to tie it 5-all.

Garrett Atkins added an RBI single on a ball that rolled down the third-base line before bouncing off the bag for a 6-5 Colorado lead.

The Rockies added three more in the sixth when center fielder Terrero misplayed a bases-loaded single by Shealy for an error, allowing all the runners to score to make it 9-5.

Jackson led off the sixth with a home run into the Diamondbacks' left-field bullpen to pull Arizona to 9-6, one of the Diamondbacks' two hits over the fourth through eighth innings.

"We were on our way to having a nice game and then all of a sudden they're back in it," said Arizona manager Bob Melvin said. "It can deflate you some but that's no excuse. But it kinda had that feeling."

Gonzalez homered to center field, his seventh, in the seventh to stretch the lead to 11-6.

Gosling allowed six runs -- four earned -- on four hits with four walks and two strikeouts in three-plus innings.

Each Colorado starter scored at least one run. ... Mohr was shaken up in the bottom of the sixth when he landed hard on his left shoulder while attempting a diving catch of a sinking line drive by Quinton McCracken. He finished the inning, but came out in the seventh on a double switch. ... Jackson's two-homer game was Arizona's eighth of the season. ... Diamondbacks RHP Brandon Lyon started for Triple-A Tucson in a rehab assignment, striking out two of the three batters he faced in Iowa. Lyon, who was leading the NL with 13 saves when he went on the disabled list with a right elbow strain, threw eight of his 15 pitches for strikes. RHP Oscar Villanueva followed Lyon to the mound and allowed one hit in one inning. Villanueva, out since April 11 with a strained right rotator cuff, threw all six of his pitches for strikes. ... Colorado 1B Todd Helton will begin a rehab assignment Monday in Colorado Springs. Helton has been on the disabled list since July 30 with a strained left calf muscle.
