CBS wire reports

NEW YORK -- Tuesday night's game between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees was postponed by rain and will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader Wednesday.

The makeup game was slated for 1:05 p.m. ET, and the previously scheduled game remained at 7:05 p.m.

Chien-Ming Wang, who had been scheduled to pitch Tuesday for the Yankees, will pitch Wednesday's opener, followed by Jaret Wright, who originally had been slated to start Thursday. Randy Johnson was pushed back a day to Thursday's series finale.

Nate Robertson, Detroit's scheduled starter, was pushed back to Wednesday afternoon, and Wilfredo Ledezma remained scheduled for the night game.
