ALCS Tigers-Red Sox Game 1 weather: Not baseball weather
When the Tigers and Red Sox play Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday night, it'll be cold and drizzling.
BOSTON -- The Tigers and Red Sox open their ALCS matchup at Fenway Park on Saturday night, and the weather in Beantown is decidedly not baseball-like. It's cold and gray with just enough drizzle to make you notice but not enough that it forces you to open an umbrella. It reminds me of this Bill Murray line from Groundhog Day:
CBS Boston says the weather is going to stay the same pretty much all night, meaning temperatures in the 50s and a misty rain. The most important thing is that the rain isn't expected to intensify, so there shouldn't be a delay or a postponement or anything like that. I wouldn't call this typical baseball weather, but I would call it postseason weather.
