All you need to know: MLB rumors, news roundup for Jan. 15
Clayton Kershaw's historic extension headlined a relatively busy day of baseball news. Lots of players agreed to contracts to avoid arbitration.
The biggest pitching contract in baseball history (but only the second largest contract of the offseason!) was handed out on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Dodgers and ace left-hander Clayton Kershaw agreed to a seven-year, $215 million deal with an opt-out after the fifth year.
