A snowstorn blanketed the Northeast early Friday morning and the hot stove wasn't there to warm baseball fans up. Friday was another slow day of baseball news, with just one minor signing and a handful of rumors filling the hours. Here's a recap of the day.

SIGNINGS

Orioles: Signed OF Quintin Berry to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training, the team announced. He is a perfect 29-for-29 in stolen base attempts in his MLB career.

RUMORS & SPECULATION

Orioles: Interested in re-signing RHP Francisco Rodriguez. They're still looking for a closer after their deal with Grant Balfour fell apart. (MASNSports.com)

Reds: GM Walt Jocketty confirmed the team has talked to OF Grady Sizemore. He hasn't played in a game since 2011.

Red Sox: Not expected to pursue RHP Masahiro Tanaka. They already have six starters for five spots.
