Astros place Scott Feldman on DL with biceps tendinitis
The Astros are down one starting pitcher, as RHP Scott Feldman has been placed on the 15-day DL.
On Monday, the Astros announced that they placed right-hander Scott Feldman on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis. To replace Feldman on the active roster, the Astros will recall RHP Collin McHugh in time to start Tuesday night against the Mariners.
Feldman, 31, has a 2014 ERA of 1.69 after four starts. However, he's also walked as many as he's struck out. For his career, Feldman owns an ERA+ of 97 across 238 career games, 135 of which have been starts. This past offseason, the Astros signed Feldman to a three-year, $30-million contract.
