Athletics set ALDS rotation: Bartolo Colon to start Game 1
Unsurprisingly, big Bartolo Colon will get the ball for the Athletics in Game 1 of the ALDS.
The Athletics announced their starting rotation for their upcoming ALDS matchup with the Tigers. To no one's surprise, Bartolo Colon and his 2.65 ERA (141 ERA+) will start Game 1 on Friday. Here's the rest of the starting staff:

Right-hander A.J. Griffin has been dealing with elbow tendinitis and was left off the roster, otherwise he would have cracked the starting rotation. Manager Bob Melvin said Griffin could be an option if the team advances to the ALCS.
The A's and Tigers open their ALDS rematch starting at 9:30pm ET on Friday.
