Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips left Sunday's game against Toronto with a bruised right heel, the club announced.

Ramon Santiago replaced Phillips in the lineup and at second base. If Phillips is to miss any time, Santiago is an option at second as well as Skip Schumaker.

Phillips, 32, is hitting .274/.306/.393 with five homers and 33 RBI this season.
