Collegiate Brian Cashman was a stellar leadoff man
Here's a program photo/bio from Brian Cashman's senior year in college, in which it notes he boasted a .510 on-base percentage his junior year.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman earned his bachelor's degree back in 1989 from The Catholic University of America -- where he also played baseball.
And he played it well, making the most of his diminutive frame. This photo (click here for a full-size version) has been making the rounds on Twitter Friday.
That would be Cashman's biography from the team program his senior year.
WAIT -- Runs, stolen bases, high on-base percentage and great range at second without mention of average, home runs or RBI? Too bad they weren't using WAR back then in college. Cashman had to have been severely underrated.
