While the Alex Rodriguez Three Ring Circus continues to dominate Yankees-related headlines, something else is afoot in the Bronx Sunday. Witness the presence of one Derek Jeter:

The Yankees enter Sunday eight games out in the AL East but only 3.5 out of the second wild card spot, so they're very much a player at this point and getting back their captain should certainly provide a boost.

Yankees shortstops are hitting .215/.269/.291 this season, an utterly dreadful line. Jeter is 39 years old and coming off ankle surgery followed by a strained quad after just one game, yes, but he also hit .316/.362/.429 with 32 doubles, 15 homers and an MLB-best 216 hits last season. And now he's off the disabled list and in the lineup.
