Derek Jeter will sign a ball full of 3,000-hit club member autographs
Derek Jeter is going to sign a pretty awesome ball full of signatures from members of the 3,000-hit club.
The Yankees are in St. Louis to play the Cardinals this week for the first time since 2005. While in town, Derek Jeter is going to sign a baseball that includes signatures from other members of the 3,000-hit club:
1) That ball is really, really cool. I wonder who owns it. Has to belong to a museum or the Cardinals, right? No way it belongs to some random person.
2) What would the value of that ball be? I don't know much about the memorabilia market, but it has to be millions. Many millions.
3) There are 28 players with 3,000+ career hits, including Rafael Palmeiro. His signature is a pretty awkward inclusion.
