Dowling College's Tyler Badamo: zero earned runs in last 60 innings
Heard of college right-hander Tyler Badamo? If not, you're about to.
Right-hander Tyler Badamo of Division-II Dowling College is having quite the senior season. In 75 innings, Badamo has pitched to a 0.46 ERA and logged 96 strikeouts against 16 walks. As well, he's given up just three extra-base hits on the year, none of them homers. Most impressive, though, is that Badamo hasn't given up an earned run since March 1 -- a span of 60 innings.
Coming out of high school in Mount Sinai, NY, Badamo was rated by Perfect Game USA as a "strong follow" -- meaning he has definite pro potential. Suffice it to say, he's reinforced that notion this season.
Still, no matter what's ahead for Badamo, he's not going to forget his senior year of college, when he reeled off 60 innings (and counting) without surrendering an earned run.
