For a while, Saturday's tilt against the Mets looked like it was going to be roundly disappointing for the host Phillies.

After all, in the top of the ninth, closer Jonathan Papelbon put the finishing touches on the blowing of what had been a 7-1 lead. But then Kevin Frandsen, in the bottom of the ninth, launched a deep walk-off homer to left field. Back at home plate, his awaiting Phillies teammates were reduced to what a certain retired Fed chairman might call a state of "irrational exuberance." Witness:
