Happy 10th Anniversary: Manny Ramirez's best cutoff ever
It was on this day exactly 10 years ago when Manny Ramirez dove to cut off a Johnny Damon throw in left field.
It was July 21, 2004, that Red Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez provided one of the funniest highlights in MLB history:
Yes, that would be a left-fielder diving to cut off a throw from a center fielder. Good thing Manny made that incredible save, because otherwise ... yeah, nevermind. Orioles batter David Newhan ended up with an inside-the-park homer.
The highlight has now lived exactly one decade and it surely has legs to continue for generations, lest people ever forgot what a character "Manny Being Manny" was.
Related: Earlier this season, the 2004 Red Sox gathered in Fenway Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. And Damon got some "payback" on Manny:
Happy Anniversary, Manny.
