Mets right-hander Bartolo Colon dominated the Braves on Tuesday night, holding them to five singles and one double in seven scoreless innings. He struck out five and walked no one. Heck, he faced 28 batters and only three saw a three-ball count. Domination.

Colon pitched a great game on the road against a division rival, no doubt about it. And yet, the single most important thing he did on Tuesday night was this:
