Internet legend 'Tara' the cat to throw out first pitch in Class A game
After saving a young boy from a dog attack, "Tara" the cat will be part of a ceremonial first pitch in Class A.
The video was posted on YouTube just two days ago, but it already has over 10 million views. This is, after all, 2014. Here it is, Tara the cat becoming a legend:
[I understand attention spans are stupid short now, so if you can't watch 56 seconds, go to the 25-second mark and watch Tara work her magic on the hooligan dog]
And now, Tara will "throw out" the first pitch for a Class A game between Bakersfield (Reds) and Lancaster (Astros) this coming Tuesday. Obviously there will be some help but the cat will be part of the festivities (via Bakersfieldnow.com). Plus, it appears there's a "buy one, get one" ticket offer for fans who donate an animal item:
Update: Tara the Hero Cat and family will throw out the first pitch on Tuesday, May 20th, and BOGO offer for fans donating animal food/toy!— Bakersfield Blaze (@BakoBlaze) May 16, 2014
Tara is the gift that just keeps on giving.
