ORLANDO - Marlins first baseman Logan Morrison has been rumored to be on the trading block for several weeks now, and talks about heating up at the Winter Meetings, according to CBSSports.com insider Jon Heyman.

Per Heyman, the Blue Jays, Pirates, Brewers and Rays are in discussions to possibly acquire the 26 year old. UPDATE: Heyman is now reporting the Orioles are in on discussions as well.

Morrison -- once a top-20 prospect in all of baseball -- has only appeared in more than 100 games in one of his four big-league seasons. Last year he only managed 85 games, in which he hit .242/.333/.375 (95 OPS+) with six homers and 36 RBI. His best season came in 2011, when he hit .247/.330/.468 with 23 homers and 72 RBI. He has played left field in addition to first, but he's much better suited for the latter position.

Morrison won't hit free agency until after the 2016 season and is possibly viewed as a "change of scenery" guy by his suitors.
