Longest home run of 2013 belongs to ... Hunter Pence?
Giants outfielder Hunter Pence hit his 16th homer of the season. The shot went 476 feet, making it the longest bomb of the 2013 season.
The longest home run of the season doesn't belong to Miguel Cabrera, Chris Davis, Mike Napoli, Jay Bruce, Justin Upton, Mark Trumbo, Prince Fielder or any other number of notable monster mashers. Nope, the longest home run of 2013 was brought to us by the lanky Hunter Pence.
The shot did come in the thin air of Coors Field, but it happened nonetheless. Here is Tuesday night's shot, with 476 feet worth of goodness:
The previous long for the season was 475 feet, by both Trumbo and Anthony Rizzo.
