LOOK: Twins post Wednesday's lineup on a napkin
Who needs a lineup card nowadays, anyway?
New look to the lineup card today... Can you tell it's a day game? pic.twitter.com/vUM3UECA0P— Jamie Hersch (@JamieHersch) April 2, 2014
After dropping Opening Day to the White Sox, the Twins opted to buck conventional practice by posting Minnesota’s lineup for Wednesday's day game on a napkin.
A white, slightly ruffled, napkin.
Superstitious? Perhaps, but the word out of Minnesota’s clubhouse was that the printer was malfunctioning so the napkin was the next best thing. It was apparently the handiwork of third-base coach Joe Vavra. Tough to believe U.S. Cellular Field doesn't have multiple printers readily available.
The Twins were leading the Sox late in Wednesday’s game, all of which is to say that the lineup napkin could be a fixture in the Twins’ dugout.
