UPDATE: Harvey left the game with tightness in his lower back, the team announced. No word on the severity, but it couldn't have been too bad if he went out to start the eighth inning.

Matt Harvey was removed from Saturday's game after seven innings and 93 pitches with an apparent injury. He went out to the mound to warm up for the eighth inning before Mets manager Terry Collins and the trainer came out to talk to him, and the right-hander left the game.
Harvey, 24, appeared to point to his hamstring and was stretching his right leg before leaving. He singled in the bottom of the seventh, so a leg injury could have occurred while he was running the bases.
In 12 starts prior to Saturday's game, Harvey was 5-0 with a 2.17 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in 83 innings. He held the Marlins to one run on six singles and zero walks in seven innings before exiting the game. He struck out six, raising his season total to 95 strikeouts, the fourth most in baseball.
