Miguel Cabrera left Monday night's game with a sore left hip flexor, the Tigers announced. The reigning AL MVP walked off the field gingerly with the trainer with one out in the fifth. He will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Cabrera, 30, missed a game with lower-back tightness earlier this month. Otherwise he has been one of the most durable players in baseball, playing in at least 150 games every year since 2004 and at least 157 games in eight of the last nine seasons.

Coming into Monday's game, Cabrera had hit .359/.452/.668 (197 OPS+) with 31 home runs on the year. He leads the league in runs (75), hits (134), RBI (96), walks (61) and OPS+. Cabrera ranks first or second in all three of the Triple Crown categories after completing the feat in 2012.
