ROSTER MOVES

Cardinals: Tyler Lyons will take Joe Kelly's spot in the rotation while Kelly is on the shelf with a hamstring injury. Lyons will get the ball Monday (Derrick Goold).

Mets: Bobby Abreu is expected to join the big-league club in time for Monday's game (Mets official Twitter account).

Tigers: After trading for him less than a month ago, they have released Alex Gonzalez.

Twins: They have claimed outfielder Sam Fuld off waivers (Ken Rosenthal).

INJURY UPDATES

Braves: Mike Minor is set to rejoin the rotation next Saturday.

Cubs: Prospect Javier Baez returned to the lineup Sunday from an ankle injury. He was the DH and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts (MiLB.com).

Dodgers: Clayton Kershaw could be ready to return in the first week of May.

Rangers: Matt Harrison appears ready to rejoin the rotation very soon.

Yankees: Ivan Nova has a partially torn UCL in his pitching elbow.

Giants: Even though Marco Scutaro still isn't even playing in rehab games due to his back injury, the Giants are unlikely to pursue a trade to shore up second base (sfgate.com).
