RUMORS & TRANSACTIONS

Blue Jays: GM Alex Anthopoulos and manager John Gibbons are expected to return in 2015.

Cardinals: Called up RHP Carlos Martinez from Triple-A, the team announced. LHP Kevin Siegrist was sent down in a corresponding move.

Dodgers: GM Ned Colletti said if they can "find a reliever that can help us late in the games we will consider it." (SiriusXM)

Yankees: Activated C Brian McCann off the 7-day concussion disabled list, the club announced. C Austin Romine was sent to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Brewers: 3B Aramis Ramirez is dealing with some minor hamstring tightness and was pulled early from Sunday's game, manager Ron Roenicke announced.

Cardinals: RHP Michael Wacha threw off a mound for the first time since suffering a stress fracture in his shoulder in early June and said he "felt great."

Diamondbacks: OF A.J. Pollock (hand) will start swinging a bat on Monday ... SS Chris Owings (shoulder) started a minor league rehab assignment. (Arizona Republic)

Cubs: Top prospect 3B Kris Bryant is day-to-day with a bruised foot. He had a precautionary MRI on Saturday. (Chicago Tribune)

Mets: RHP Jacob deGrom (shoulder) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session on Sunday and reported no problems. He is expected to rejoin the rotation on Saturday. (ESPN New York)

Padres: RHP Joaquin Benoit was not available Sunday due to a "crankly" shoulder. The team believes he will be ready to pitch on Tuesday, following Monday's off-day (San Diego Union-Tribune) ... 1B Yonder Alonso will miss the rest of the season with tendon damage in his right forearm. He will go for a second opinion before having surgery. (San Diego Union-Tribune)

Pirates: RHP Gerrit Cole (lat) will be activated off the disabled list and rejoin the rotation on Wednesday (MLB.com) ... RHP Charlie Morton (hip) was placed on the 15-day disabled list, the team announced. Cole will take his rotation spot.

Reds: 2B Brandon Phillips (thumb) played in what will likely be his final minor league rehab game on Sunday. He is expected to be activated off the disabled list on Monday. (Cincinnati Enquirer)

Tigers: OF Rajai Davis is day-to-day after leaving Sunday's game with a bruised thumb, the team announced.

Angels: Manager Mike Scioscia said OF Josh Hamilton is "not the same" player he was with the Rangers.

Rockies: Retired 1B Todd Helton's jersey No. 17 ... OF Michael Cuddyer became the seventh player in franchise history to hit for the cycle. It was the second cycle of his career.
