MLB suspends Carlos Carrasco 8 games for drilling Kevin Youkilis
MLB has handed down its disciplinary ruling in the recent Carlos Carrasco vs. Kevin Youkilis incident.
To recap, on Tuesday night, Carrasco, moments after a Robinson Cano home run, plunked Youkilis on the shoulder. Afterward, he apologized for doing so, but when the intent is so clear, a suspension is all but guaranteed.

Appeals usually follow such decisions, but that's largely a formality.
The 26-year-old Carrasco owns a career ERA of 5.16 to go with a WHIP of 1.49 and K/BB ratio of 2.03 across 34 major-league starts.
