Philadelphia Phillies : Designated RHP Jeff Manship for assignment, the club announced. C Carlos Ruiz (concussion) was activated off the disabled list in a corresponding move.
Detroit Tigers : Acquired RHP Joakim Soria from the Texas Rangers for minor leaguers RHP Jake Thompson and RHP Corey Knebel. GM Dave Dombrowski confirmed RHP Joe Nathan will remain the closer. (MLB.com)
Minnesota Twins : Designated RHP Matt Guerrier for assignment, the team announced. RHP Ryan Pressly was called up in a corresponding move.
