As of 12:01am ET on Tuesday, free agents are free to negotiate and sign with any team. Unlike the NFL and NHL, the first day of MLB's free agency is usually a bore and this year was no different. We're still a few weeks away from the exciting moves.

In case you missed it on Monday, a total of 13 players received qualifying offers and require draft pick compensation if they sign with a new team. Only one signing, notable or otherwise, happened on Tuesday:

Rangers re-signed C Geovany Soto to a one-year, $3.05 million contract.

Things will pick up in the next few weeks. I promise.
