PHOTO: 2014 Dmitri Young is a whole lot skinnier than 2008 Dmitri Young
Ex-big leaguer Dmitri Young has lost a ton of weight since retiring. Here are the before and after photos.
If you're reading these words, then there's a good chance you remember Dmitri Young. The now 40-year-old ex-big leaguer spent parts of 13 seasons in the show, hitting .292/.351/.475 with 171 home runs for four teams along the way.
Young last played with the Nationals in 2008, the year after he hit .320 and was an All-Star. This is what he looked like back then:
Young was a big guy, there's no doubt about it. Baseball-Reference.com lists him at 6-foot-2 and 295 lbs., which looks about right based on the photo.
These days though, Young is basically half the man he once was. He stopped by the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati on Friday to visit two of his former teams, the Nats and Reds. Here's what he looks like in 2014:

Congrats to Dmitri on the weight loss. I dig the bacon t-shirt too.
