PHOTO: Clay Buchholz's autograph is a work of abstract expressionism
Here's a photo of Clay Buchholz's autograph. Or so we're told.
Contrary to appearances, crack Internet research reveals that the billowy scrawl above is actually Mr. Buchholz's autograph. Much like a Jackson Pollock or Mark Rothko painting, Buchholz's autograph is best appreciated, one assumes, in person, from a close vantage point with museum-quality lighting upon it and a with tray of appetizers and snifter of something imported within reach. It is then and only then that one appreciates the artifice involved in what you see above.
