Photo of the Day: Rays cancel batting practice for ... pot roast?
The Rays canceled batting practice on Monday because their pot roast wasn't ready in time. Seriously.
Rays manager Joe Maddon is known for being unconventional, with his themed road trips and intricate defensive shifts and whatnot. Earlier this spring he bought a bread maker for the team's lunch room at their spring training complex in Fort Myers, and on Monday, he canceled batting practice for a pot roast:

In his defense, there's never a bad time for pot roast. There is plenty of time for BP though.
