Quote of the Day: Young Braves fan vs. Bryce Harper
One 14-year-old Braves fan at Disney World showed an unusual candor after taking a picture with Nats star Bryce Harper.
In the middle of a nifty Amanda Comak profile of Nats star Bryce Harper in the Washington Times comes the story of the time that Harper met a young fan at Disney World. Here, courtesy of Comak, is how that went:
So when a boy no more than 14 or 15 approached him at the Magic Kingdom and asked for a photo, Harper obliged and threw his arm around the teen’s shoulder.
"I’m a Braves fan," the boy said to Harper. "[Expletive] the Nationals."
Harper's too polite and PR-savvy to have throttled the kid, but at the very least a vigorous frog-punch in the arm would've been nice. It takes a village, people.
