A sprained fourth finger on his left hand has landed Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli on the 15-day disabled list. The move was made Sunday and is retroactive to Saturday. To take Napoli's spot on the active roster, the Red Sox have recalled right-hander Brandon Workman

This season, Napoli, who's in the first year of a two-year, $32-million contract extension, is batting .260/.390/.416, which is good for an OBP-heavy OPS+ of 123.
