In advance of their interleague series with the Dodgers, the White Sox on Monday will activate first baseman Jose Abreu from the disabled list, reports Bruce Levine of CBS Chicago. Abreu has been sidelined since May 17 with a left ankle injury.

The 27-year-old Cuban rookie is batting .260/.312/.595 with 15 homers in 44 games this season. This past winter, the White Sox signed him to a six-year, $68-million contract. At the time of his injury, Abreu was leading the majors in home runs.
