The Rockies will welcome third baseman Nolan Arenado back to the lineup on Thursday night. He missed seven weeks with a broken finger.
The Rockies have activated third baseman Nolan Arenado off the 15-day disabled list and he will be in the lineup on Thursday night. He has missed the last seven weeks after breaking his finger sliding into a base.
Arenado, 23, was hitting .305/.333/.489 (115 OPS+) with 17 doubles and six home runs in 49 games before the injury. He was also playing his usual Gold Glove level defense at the hot corner.
To make room on the roster for Arenado, the Rockies sent lefty Christian Friedrich to Triple-A. The 26-year-old southpaw allowed 19 in 13 1/3 innings across three starts.
