SPOTTED: Dave Parker at Cincy grocery store in Pirates garb
You'd think MLB legend Dave Parker would have have mixed loyalties in the NL Central race, but maybe not.
The news on former MLB great Dave Parker hasn't been all that happy of late, but consider this a pleasing departure ...
That image comes courtesy of photographer Justin Cohen, and according to Mr. Cohen that's Mr. Parker in full 1979 Pirates garb -- stove-pipe hat, uber alles. That's cool enough, but it's also supposedly Mr. Parker decked out in Pirates garb ... while shopping in a Cincinnati grocery store.
The baseball enthusiast will recall that the Pirates and Reds are locked in a mortal struggle for playoff positioning and perhaps the NL Central crown. If this image is any guide, then Mr. Dave Parker's loyalties are with the team for which he toiled from 1973 through 1983, as opposed to the one for which he toiled from 1984 through 1987.
And just so you'll properly recall whom you're dealing with ...
