Tino Martinez gets plaque in Yankee Stadium's 'Monument Park'
Former power-hitting All-Star first baseman Tino Martinez was honored in Yankee Stadium on Saturday.

In addition to the facts noted above, Martinez batted .276/.347/.484 (113 OPS+) as a Yankee. His career postseason numbers aren't strong at all (.233/.321/.355 in 405 plate appearances, the vast majority of which came with the Yankees), but he indeed does have a few critical homers to his credit, as noted above.
Martinez becomes Monument Park's 29th honoree, joining, most recently and among others, Mariano Rivera.
