On Thursday night, Twins outfielder Aaron Hicks was shaken up after he collided with the fence while going back on an eventual triple by Scott Van Slyke of the Dodgers. On Friday, the Twins placed Hicks on the seven-day concussion disabled list.

With Hicks out, Sam Fuld figures to take over as the Twins' primary center fielder. Fellow Minnesota outfielders Oswaldo Arcia and Josh Willingham are already on the DL.

This season, the 24-year-old Hicks is batting .178/.315/.260 in 24 games. For his career, he owns an OPS+ of 65 across parts of two big-league seasons.
