Twitter, MLB players react to Rougned Odor punching Jose Bautista square in the face
Let's see how the world of Twitter reacted to Sunday's massive brawl between the Blue Jays and Rangers.
Sunday afternoon the Rangers and Blue Jays were involved in the biggest and nastiest brawl we've seen in a long time. The benches actually cleared twice, though only the first incident featured punches.
The brawl happened after Matt Bush hit Jose Bautista with a pitch, a Bautista retaliated with an aggressive take-out slide at second base. Rougned Odor took exception, shoved Bautista, then punched him right in the face. Here's the video:
Needless to say, the world of Twitter had an awful lot to say about the brawl and Odor punching Bautista.
Stroman was at Duke for his college graduation, and took in the fight at a bar in North Carolina.
Zero respect for Odor. Never had respect for him, never will.

Here's what some current and former players had to offer:
Cleanest punch I've ever seen landed in the big leagues.

See? We don't need these pansy new slide rules. Let the boys handle it themselves. Keep the nerds out, this game has always policed itself.

Odor also dropped his arm on that play to possible hit @JoeyBats19 in the face. 😱

I hadn't considered the possibility that Odor dropped down and made a low throw in an attempt to hit Bautista. Either way, both Odor and Bautista were in the wrong.
Now here are a few of the inevitable photoshops. Of course the punch was giving the Crying Jordan treatment:

Now's this for awkward: Bautista follows Odor on Twitter. Of course, Bautista follows more than 700,000 (700,000!) people on Twitter, so Odor is not exactly in an exclusive club.

Jose Bautista might unfollow all 719,000 of you if you keep talking smack about him

They may have lost. But Odor's fist may have just woken a sleeping giant. #OurMoment

Rangers fans chanting "USA". Good job Texas

The "U-S-A!" chants meant to mock the Blue Jays are so impossibly stupid. Is Odor, who was born and raised in Venezuela, supposed to take that a sign of support? Good grief, people.
