U of Texas head coach Augie Garrido is good at interviews
Let's just say that University of Texas baseball coach Augie Garrido isn't good with names.
At this writing, Augie Garrido's Texas Longhorns are taking on Vanderbilt to determine who will face Virginia in the finals of the College World Series. Garrido, of course, has been in Omaha for several days now, and he's had at least a few back-and-forths with local radio host Gary Sharp of 1620 The Zone.
With little else in the way of introduction, please do regard the following objectively wonderful series of interactions between the two gentlemen in question. First, here's this from Wednesday ...
Me: "Coach good to see you" Augie Garrido: "Hello Mike" Me: "Good luck tonight coach" Augie Garrido: "Thanks Steve"— Gary Sharp (@GarySharp1620) June 18, 2014
Here's this from Thursday ...
Me: "Coach Gary Sharp" Augie: "Thanks Steve" pic.twitter.com/ytzDHLUMEt— Gary Sharp (@GarySharp1620) June 20, 2014
And finally Saturday ...
Augie: "Thanks Steve" After interview concluded Me: "You know my name is Gary" Looks at my credential Augie: "Ah it doesn't matter Steve"— Gary Sharp (@GarySharp1620) June 21, 2014
Coach Augie Garrido: Bad with names, good at everything else, probably.
