The NCAA Division I postseason opened across the country with regional play this weekend. On Friday night, the Florida Gators broke out the ol' hidden ball trick against College of Charleston. Infielder Nick Pappas got caught wondering off second base by shortstop Richie Martin. To the action footage:
Sneaky! Also cunning!
Unfortunately, it did not help the Gators too much. College of Charleston upset them 3-2 in their own building, then Florida lost 5-2 to UNC on Saturday. Just like that, the No. 2 seed in the country has been eliminated. Two and Q for the Gators, as they say.
