The Astros called up outfielder and top prospect George Springer on Wednesday, making a pretty bad team a bit more watchable. Springer played in his first game on Wednesday night and was robbed of his first career hit by a diving Alcides Escobar in his first at-bat. It was the type of play they don't make in the minors.

Later in the game, Springer picked up his first big league hit on this booming line drive to... wait, nevermind. That's not right. How about an infield single that traveled about 30 feet?

What's the old saying, it's a line drive in the box score? Too bad the internet never forgets anything these days.

Congrats to Springer. Good luck convincing the grand kids your first big league knock was a rocket to the outfield.
