VIDEO: Matt Holliday takes Lester deep to tie World Series Game 5
The Cardinals tied World Series Game 5 at one thanks to Matt Holliday's monster solo homer in the fourth inning.
The Red Sox jumped out to 1-0 lead in the first inning of World Series Game 5 thanks to back-to-back doubles by Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz, but the Cardinals managed to tie the game a few innings later. Matt Holliday took Jon Lester deep out to dead center field in the fourth:
Man, Holliday is so strong. I think he's one of the most underappreciated great hitters of his generation.
Carlos Beltran followed the homer with a loud fly ball out to the warning track. The next batter, Yadier Molina, lined out to short thanks to a great Stephen Drew jumping catch. Those three batters hit the ball very hard, but Holliday was the only one with something to show for it.
