Video: The last time the Yankees were swept in a best-of-seven

DETROIT -- The Yankees have played 12 straight postseason best-of-seven series without getting swept. That mark, obviously, is in grave danger, as the Tigers lead the Yankees in the ALCS by a tally of three games to none. Should the Tigers close it out in Game 4 on Thursday, then it'll be the first time since the 1976 World Series that the Yanks have been "broom victims" in a best-of-seven affair.

In the interest of "going negative," here's a grim reminder ...

How do you know it's the 1970s? Rather than dog-piling on the mound, the triumphant road team just gets the hell off the field in the interest of self-preservation.
